SWHS programme 2016-2017

The full programme for the Saffron Walden Historical Society for the coming year is now complete for the new season from September 2016 to Spring 2017 and once more a variety of excellent speakers is on offer. All meetings are on Wednesdays starting 7.45 pm at the Friends’ Meeting House in the High Street, Saffron Walden and are free to members, £2 for visitors (apart from 26 October which is the free annual Mary Whiteman Memorial Lecture). 23 November – Interpreting Ely Cathedral – speaker Rev Lynne Broughton

25 January – The Georgian House in Saffron Walden – speaker Alex Reeve

22 February –  The Cambridge Leper Chapel – speaker Philip Robson

22 March – Tudor Cambridge – speaker speaker Honor Ridout

26 April – The Suffragettes – speaker Mary Dicken

24 May – AGM – a short talk will be arranged.
