Further Information
Wandlebury has over 2,000 years of human history, and since 2024, the Department of Archaeology with the Cambridge Archaeological Unit, have been excavating there, training the next generation of archaeologists from the department. In addition to this, over a five-year period, the research will add an in-depth knowledge about the middle Iron Age hillfort, as well as the periods of use at Wandlebury before the hillfort was constructed, and after the Iron Age occupation.
